3D Systems and Motorola will build the Ara Modular Handset
The project of showcasing a modular smartphone concept which allows users to replace specific parts of their device has come closer to reality as 3D Systems and Motorola announced a partnership to manufacture modular smartphones, custom-built.

The two organizations will collaborate to make a high-speed 3D printing production platform and fulfillment system. The association will see both 3d Systems and Motorola make advancements in the use of new materials, as well as production methods.
